Connecting the GERMANOS brand with the sports’ elite to create original content on the No.1 Branded YouTube Channel in Greece.

OVERVIEW

Our strategic partnership with the brand GERMANOS started in 2018, and we have implemented effective YouTube strategies over the years.

In fact, we helped build the No.1 Branded YouTube channel in Greece with 315K Subscribers!

As part of the GERMANOS YouTube Content Strategy 2021 – 2022, one of our goals was to connect the brand with the sports’ elite and attract their strong fan bases to the GERMANOS YouTube channel through original and entertaining content.

APPROACH

Being at the heart of technology, GERMANOS invited athlete influencers with strong fanbases to play their sport in a virtual environment. They competed in gameplays hosted on the official GERMANOS YouTube channel and drove their audiences to the content.

More in depth, we took the already successful original content series “Gameplays with 2J”, starring a top-tier YouTube creator from our network and added a twist to it. In “Gameplays with 2J vs Real Athlete”, 2J competed against 5 famous athletes on PlayStation 5 in the sport they play professionally, during a livestream. The epic gaming battles included unconventional interviews where the athletes answered questions we would all like to ask. Also, the audience could enter a draw to win gifts signed by the featured athlete.

Following our Athlete Matching & Selection process we were able to define which athletes matched the brand’s profile and target goals to ensure maximum results. 2J remained as host of the show as he already has become a brand ambassador.

Moreover, we fully undertook the implementation of the project, from the Creation to the Production and Delivery of not only the YouTube videos, but also the accompanying deliverables posted by creators on Instagram (stories/posts).

OUTCOMES & METRICS

Our innovative approach and content proposal proved to be a resounding success.

The GERMANOS YouTube channel achieved satisfying results in Total Views, Likes, and Comments in 2021 – 2022.

The Gameplays with 2J vs Real Athletes got awarded as the Most Innovative Use of Content Creators & Influencers for a Sports Related Activity in the Sports Marketing Awards 2023!
